Description

Firefly Limpets are compact self-illuminating markers designed to help you locate items quickly in the dark. Each Limpet contains an encapsulated isotope fully encased in hard acrylic, with a flat base and 3M double-sided adhesive so you can stick it to almost any surface. Sold in packs of 3.

  • Sticks to most surfaces to mark location in darkness
  • Ideal for items that can’t take standard isotopes (e.g. bobbins, tackle boxes, head torches)
  • Adhesive pad is single-use once applied, but the Limpet can be reused with fresh 3M tape
  • Optional alternative fixing: some users choose silicone for a more removable “semi-permanent” mount

Important Safety and Usage

Strength / breakage

Great care must be taken using self luminous light source products. The light source is made of glass and can break if handled carelessly. Although protected, it can break in the wrong situation. If the sealed glass vial is broken or breached, the unit will stop glowing. Breakage can happen and is not a quality fault. If a breach or breakage occurs while in your care, no refund or replacement will be provided. It is your responsibility to decide if the product is suitable for your intended use. No responsibility is accepted for breakages or breaches while in your care.

Lifespan

Continuously illuminated for more than 10 years. No battery, switch, charging, or ambient light/electrical supply is required.

Usage

Handle with care to avoid breakages. If broken, glass fragments may cause injury.

Images are computer generated. Colours may appear different. Real photos cannot easily show both the product and glow (night photos show mainly the isotope; daylight photos show the product without the glow).

Liability

Use at your own risk. Not suitable for children. Self luminous light sources should not be utilised in products not intended for use in safety, outdoor sports (fishing) or transportation applications.
